In reply to CP1005 • May 8, 2017. I have shot the 5D Mk 4 with the Sigma 50-500mm, the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary, original Tamron 150-600mm and the Tamron 150-600mm G2. I settled on the G2 and have been very happy with the results. GriffinClubMerv's gear list:
I own a first generation Canon EF 2x. I decided to skip the EF 2x II because there were no optical improvements in it. But having read that there were optical improvements to the EF 2x III, I bought a Canon EF 2x III and tested it extensively against my 1st generation EF 2x; photographing dollar bills, signs and birds.Sigma 150-600 with the Canon 2x iii extender? Nov 12, 2020. Can anyone confirm if the Sigma 15-600 contemporary will attach and function with the Canon 2x iii attached? Thanks a million. On the excellent EF 500mm f/4L IS USM Lens, I love that lens, is good, not great, but passable. Sadly that said I use my Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports Lens 95% of the time when I need or use a telephoto. I do have the Sigma 1.4x tel-con for it which again is OK, good, not great, but passable. Go get the Canon 1.4x tel-con. The SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 is available in Canon EF Nikon F mounts, and the SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di USD G2, without VC, is available for Sony A mount. An optional lens case with zipper closure is also being released and will work with both the SP 150-600mm G2 and original SP 150-600mm. The 1.4x 2x Teleconverters will be available in
For comparison's sake: Canon EF 800mm F/5.6 USM L w/ 1.4x Teleconverter III mounted to a Canon EOS R6. Effective focal length is 1120. Shot at ISO 800 at 1/750 of a second, handheld, backlit, in

Morning Everyone. I was just watching Duade's video on the R7 with Sigma 150-600 "C". He mentioned that Sigma have come out and said that this lens is not compatible with the R7 (and I assume other RF mount cameras) and it's animal eye AF. Duade seems to have some hunting/pulsing issues in this video.

I'm thinking about selling my Sigma 150-600 Sports and get a RF 100-500 instead. The 150-600 does a pretty good job. AF is reliable (both native EF and adapted EF-RF) and IQ is very good. But I do a lot of handheld shooting and the Sigma is not really suited for that, at least not for faster moving objects. Mode I corrects for all movements. Mode II compensates for panning shots. Stabilization works so well that I was able to handhold at 600mm at just 1/100s. I could even handhold and get sharp images while using the 2x teleconverter at 1200mm! Overall, the Sigma 150-600mm DG DN is a delight to use. Sigma 150-600mm DG DN — Autofocus performance
Just imagine, a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4-5.6L II IS USM lens combined with a EF 1.4x III extender gives you a focal length of 560mm. Although the focal length is only 40mm shorter compared to the RF
The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DN OS | Sport is a very welcome addition to the Tamron 150-500mm F5-6.7 VC VXD , Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 OS DN, and the Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS as quality telephoto zooms available all available at $2000 or less. The Sigma makes a very good case for itself on paper when compared to the Tamron, offering up that N8eHv0j.
