Porta Pro's are bassier and looser, and sound a lot more laid back, but still have insane resolution. They both do. They both also have a significantly wider sound stage than any of the HD6x0 options. My daily driver is a KSC75 on a Porta Pro headband withthis as a cushion. It's super comfortable. edit: formatting nub
Past headphones: The Koss Portapro sound generally okay to me. Probably better than anything else I've ever tried, but I know they're not "incredible." When I need portability, I use my IEMs - MEElectronics M6. Those sound alright, and I've noticed that voices are extremely clear when watching a movie or TV show.
2). I'm going to get the Koss Porta Pro with Yaxi pads. I've heard things about the differences of dollar store headphone and how the more expensive ones are like night and days, and I think I'm ready to spare some money for a budget entry-level headphone to blow me away once again.
I love both the Koss Porta Pro and KSC75, and am looking for the next step up from them around the $200 mark. What headphone do you recommend with a similar sound? Primary use will be for music - indie, alternative, live shows, rock, punk, and pop. Comfortable would also be a plus.
