I would definitely play GoW 3 though, just keep in mind that they went balls to the wall on all the fights so the scale is gonna be insane (perfect capstone to the trilogy). The entire original series is more than worth it. Now, to wait 10 minutes for someone else to ask. Every God of War game is worth playing.

If you want to get all games anyway you should buy Odyssey with the Season Pass (or the gold edition, which is the same) since AC3 Remastered is part of that. Probably cheaper this way. With regards to the original vs remastered, the remastered has much better visuals for environments but worse for character faces.

God of war 3 is worth playing, but 1 and 2 aged bad in my opinion. The graphics to start which obviously theyre gonna be bad compared to today since theyre a ps2 game. The mechanics are pretty rough too, a lot of tedious gameplay like balancing and platform jumping. And the camera angles are so awkward they switch up on you all the time.

Replayability NGS2 and DmC1,3, and 4 have my vote. They are also much more challenging. They are also different types of Action games. DMC isn't a hack n Slash. GoW is pretty much the pinnacle of hack n Slash action genre. Theres plenty of sub genres within a genre. Gow has a level of depth but the core gameplay is about brutal killing and the JhDekH.
